Summary

: This individual is responsible for adhering to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and productive working environment. This individual is responsible for the set up and preparation of girders for painting. This position works under the direction of the Leaderman and reports to the Plant Superintendent.

Competencies and Skills:

· Understand basic math. Ability to use and read tape measure to a 1/32 “ scope (standard).

· Clear Communication: Able to follow both verbal and written instructions from trainer/leaderman. Able to communicate clearly with co-workers.

· Customer Service: Able to build relationships among co-workers.

· Able to withstand crisis situations.

· Able to stand/walk for variable period of time.

· Able to lift 50+ lbs.

· Able to work on elevated platform (up to 20 feet)

Responsibilities:

· Measuring.

· Operate forklift.

· Operate grinder.

· Operate overhead cranes.

· Operate blast machine.

· Mixing paint. Spray painting of pieces.

· Taping off parts of girder according to shop drawings.

· Apply studs to pieces of steel with a stud gun.

· Keeping blast and paint areas free of debris.

· Other duties as assigned to facilitate daily workflow of production.
