Bartender (Part-Time)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Preparing and serving drinks, providing excellent customer service, managing the bar area, and handling transactions. Key responsibilities involve creating cocktails, recommending beverages, ensuring the bar is stocked and clean, processing payments, and adhering to alcohol service regulations. Collaborate with other hotel staff, answer guest questions, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Drink preparation and service:Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, according to recipes and hotel standards.

Customer service:Greet guests warmly, take orders, make recommendations, and handle guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally.

Bar management:Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. This includes cleaning glassware, sanitizing surfaces, and monitoring inventory for liquor, mixers, and garnishes.

Transaction management:Accurately process payments (cash and credit card) and manage house banks according to hotel procedures.

Legal and safety compliance:Verify guest ages to ensure they meet legal drinking age and follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines to prevent over-serving.

Inventory and stocking:Keep track of inventory levels and restock supplies as needed, which can include preparing requisitions for new products.

Collaboration:Coordinate with servers and other hotel departments to fulfill room service orders or support special events.

Menu knowledge:Maintain thorough knowledge of the bar and food menus, including ingredients, promotions, and pairings, to make informed recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
