QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Two -or more years’ experience in shop floor production and one year or more experience as foreman or supervisor.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/blueprints operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• ABILITY TO READ A TAPE MEASURE TO 1/16″AND BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS IS A MUST.

Responsibilities

• The role of the shop foreman is to oversee the shop, Machine operators, and Material handlers
• Responsible to act by the policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Daily responsibilities include maximizing production, minimizing cost, managing personnel advance information flow, promoting safety, and ensuring a top-quality end product
• Manage and Train department employees
• Manage Process Efficiency & Resources
• Manage Information Document flow
• Control Expenses
• Quality & Safety
• Maintain and control inventory of consumable needs in the department
• Other duties as assigned
