Summary

• This position oversees a Steel Fabrication shop (Machine Operators, Fabricators, Welders, Laborers).
• Responsible to act by the policies outlined in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook.
• Daily responsibilities include maximizing production, minimizing cost, managing personnel, advancing information flow, promoting safety and ensuring a top-quality end product.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Five
• or more years’ experience in shop floor production, specifically with structural steel ideally.
• Two years or more experience as foreman or supervisor.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience with CNC and manual machine operation.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Foreman
• ABILITY TO READ A TAPE MEASURE TO 1 /16″ IS A MUST.
